The Art of Reuben Wood
Reuben is a visual artist living and working from Takaka, Aotearoa. Creating across multiple disciplines he tells stories with characters, colour, and environments. In pursuing the whimsy and beauty of fictional moments he leads the viewer on an escape from the artificial dreariness of the modern world.
Reuben has worked on art for films, games, walls, clothes and skin. He is currently tattooing and designing art for clothes, from his cozy wee studio in the middle of Tākaka.
